04:49 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- JD.com (JD) rivals are criticizing the company's proposed concessions to clear its acquisition of electronics retailer Ceconomy with the European Commission, Reuters reported Thursday, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter. One of the sources told Reuters that the concessions include Ceconomy maintaining access to JD.com's European logistics and technological capabilities at market rates. The European Commission has already responded to JD.com's concessions earlier this week and is set to decide on the acquisition by Oct. 23, according to the report. JD.com and the European Commission did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
