Gen Digital CEO Says Q2, Full-Year Outlook 'Tracking Higher End' of Guidance

05:07 PM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Gen Digital (GEN) CEO Vincent Pilette said Monday in a post on LinkedIn that the company's quarter ending Oct. 2 and full-year outlook are both "tracking to the higher end" of the guidance. Pilette said the company recently raised its fiscal 2027 outlook to 9% to 11% revenue growth and mid- to high-teens non-GAAP earnings per share growth. Gen Digital shares were up past 3% in after-hours activity.

The preliminary November Consumer Sentiment Index from the University of Michigan rose to 51 from 48 in October, surpassing the market's expectation of 48. This improvement was mainly concentrated among independent voters, whose consumer confidence reached a one-year high. About 57% of respondents proactively mentioned that high prices are affecting their standard of living, the highest percentage since May. Consumers expect prices to rise by 4.3% over the next year, the lowest level in three months.
