06:31 PM EDT, 10/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Rising energy and fertilizer costs are driving up agricultural production expenses and food prices, raising concerns about a global food crisis, AFP reported Friday. G7 nations pledged $2.5 billion to help countries at risk of food insecurity, with a focus on fertilizers.
