Sector Update: Tech Stocks Advance Premarket Monday

09:11 AM EST, 11/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were advancing premarket Monday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.6% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) 1.1% higher. Oracle (ORCL) is offering $10 billion of shares of its common stock, par value $0.01 per share, the company said in a filing. Oracle stock was down more than 4% pre-bell. Check Point Software Technologies (CHKP) shares were down more than 5% after the company posted lower Q3 non-GAAP earnings and revenue. Marvell Technology (MRVL) said it agreed to acquire Lumentum (LITE) in an all-stock transaction, offering 4.5 Marvell shares for each Lumentum share in a deal valuing the company at about $115 billion. Marvell Technology stock was down more than 3% and Lumentum shares fell past 6% premarket.
