09:09 AM EST, 11/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were edging higher premarket Tuesday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.8% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) advancing by 3.1%. Apple (AAPL) shares were down more than 4% even after the company posted higher fiscal Q4 earnings and revenue. Palantir Technologies (PLTR) stock was down more than 6% even after the company reported higher Q3 adjusted earnings and revenue, and raised its 2026 revenue outlook. CrowdStrike (CRWD) shares were up more than 1% after the company said it has agreed to acquire two AI security companies and announced new integrations of its Falcon Guardian solution with Amazon Web Services and Claude's Cowork.

The White House has canceled the previously scheduled President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology meeting, which was set for Friday and includes prominent tech leaders such as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
