Shiba Inu Stalls Despite Massive 92 Billion SHIB Inflow Surge

  • 92 billion SHIB entered exchanges, yet represented only 0.11% of reserves.
  • Weak buyer demand remains the main reason behind SHIB’s price stagnation.
  • SHIB risks further declines unless volume pushes price above $0.0000052.

A surge of 92 billion SHIB into exchanges would usually grab attention. Many traders may expect such a move to spark sharp price action. Yet, Shiba Inu continues to struggle below key levels. The latest data reveals a larger issue hiding beneath the surface. Exchange inflows have increased, but buyer activity remains weak. Without stronger demand, even large token movements may fail to trigger a meaningful recovery.

A Huge Inflow That Looks Bigger Than It Really Is

According to CryptoQuant data, exchanges recorded net inflows of 92.07 billion SHIB within 24 hours. Deposits reached 324.28 billion SHIB, while withdrawals totaled 232.21 billion SHIB. A positive net flow shows that more tokens entered trading platforms than left. Such movements often raise concerns about potential selling pressure. Traders can sell exchange-held tokens more easily than assets stored elsewhere.

However, context matters here. Those 92 billion SHIB represent only about 0.11% of total exchange reserves. That share remains very small compared with the overall supply already available for trading. The impressive headline figure also reflects SHIB’s extremely low price. With SHIB trading near $0.00000489, a relatively modest dollar amount can translate into billions of tokens. As a result, the token count appears dramatic, while the actual market impact remains limited.

Exchange reserves alone rarely dictate market direction. A larger supply can increase selling pressure, but demand determines whether buyers absorb that supply. Current market conditions suggest demand remains the missing ingredient. The value of exchange reserves even declined by 2.9%, despite the increase in token holdings. Such divergence highlights a stronger decline in market value than growth in available SHIB units.

Weak Demand Keeps SHIB Under Pressure

Recent price action points directly toward buyer weakness. Shiba Inu attempted a recovery toward $0.000006 in early October. Sellers quickly rejected that move and pushed prices lower. Since then, SHIB has failed to hold gains above $0.0000052. Price action also remains below several important moving averages. Such positioning often signals continued caution among traders.

The $0.000005 level now acts as an important psychological barrier. Above that area, resistance appears between $0.0000054 and $0.0000056. Momentum indicators tell a similar story. The Relative Strength Index remains below 50. That reading does not guarantee another decline. Still, buyer strength has not reached levels needed for a sustained rebound.

On the downside, support sits near $0.0000048. A decisive break below that level could expose $0.0000044. On the other hand, a move back above $0.0000052 with stronger trading volume could improve sentiment. Such a recovery would likely reduce concerns surrounding the recent exchange inflows and shift focus back toward demand growth.

Has the AI bubble burst? Goldman Sachs: It's more like 1998 than 2000 right now

The Goldman Sachs trading desk stated that the current wave of sell-offs resembles the 1998 liquidity crisis more than the bursting of the 2000 bubble. It is a forced deleveraging rather than a refutation of business fundamentals. The market is drastically repricing construction financing and timeline expectations, rather than underlying demand. Moreover, the issues currently drawing the most attention from the market—electricity and licensing—are actually the least important, as limited supply does not equate to disappearing demand. The real question that needs to be answered is whether long-term revenues can ultimately justify the capital invested.
