03:04 PM EST, 11/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis (STLA) extended the shutdown of its assembly plant in Windsor, Ontario, citing consumer demand trends and tariff impact, The Globe and Mail reported Thursday, citing a company spokesperson. The plant, which makes Chrysler minivans and Dodge Charger cars, will be closed for production next week in response to evolving market conditions, the person told the news outlet. Since tariffs were announced in early 2025, the company has moved planned production of the Jeep Compass to Illinois from Brampton, according to the report.
