03:28 PM EST, 11/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed late Friday afternoon, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) decreasing 1.1% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) adding 0.4%. In corporate news, TripAdvisor (TRIP) shares fell 3.3% after BofA Securities downgraded the stock to underperform from buy and cut its price target to $8 from $15.
