Ripple partners with Privy to bring embedded XRPL wallets, XRP trades near $1.16
Ripple has announced a partnership with Privy, a Stripe-owned infrastructure provider, to expand embedded wallet technology for the XRP Ledger. This initiative will allow developers to integrate wallet functionality directly into payments applications, supporting both XRP and RLUSD tokens. The move comes as large XRP holders increase their accumulated positions despite recent downward price action across the market.
Ripple and Privy roll out programmable XRPL wallets
Through this collaboration, Ripple leverages Privy’s technology to simplify wallet creation and management for developers building on the XRP Ledger. The integrated system offers automated transactions and supports advanced features such as the x402 standard, which enables automated payments by AI agents and payment flows for digital services including access to computing resources and data.
Privy stated that the infrastructure will let end users interact with XRPL-based assets without directly managing private keys, though exportability for credentials remains available for those seeking greater control.
RippleX Senior Vice President Markus Infanger emphasized that embedded wallets on XRPL will make it easier for developers to launch and scale payment-focused applications, utilizing infrastructure suited for the platform’s ecosystem. He remarked that the ledger now supports more than eight million funded accounts and has processed over $1 trillion in value transfers.
Privy has highlighted the seamless integration with XRP and RLUSD, noting that developers using this infrastructure can create wallets, process digital asset transactions, and introduce features such as automated payment policies and fee sponsorships without deploying separate wallet systems.
The rollout coincides with continued growth in the XRP Ledger’s technical capabilities and recent updates targeting security enhancements for token issuance. However, neither Ripple nor Privy has released specific projections regarding transaction volume or future XRP demand connected to this integration.
XRP price struggles, whale accumulation intensifies
XRP traded at $1.16 on November 8, down from a local high of $1.34 the previous week. Despite this retreat, on-chain data indicates that large XRP holders have continued to amass tokens during the recent price dip.
Market analyst Ali Martinez reported that whales accumulated 16.46 million XRP in the last five days. This buying activity has attracted attention, though it has yet to trigger a price reversal after the decline from last week’s highs. Martinez also pointed to a potential inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on the XRP chart, though this technical signal remains unconfirmed.
Resistance at $1.60 remains a key hurdle for any sustained recovery, and analysts note that a breakout above this level would bring the psychological $2 target into focus. From the current price, XRP would need to appreciate by roughly 72% to reach the $2 level. Meanwhile, market observers have pinpointed support between $1.04 and $1.16, and a failure to maintain the $1.16 level could see XRP revisiting $0.99 as the next major support.
Recent reports show that, while whales have increased their holdings, weak demand for XRP-backed ETFs and a delay in the launch of leveraged products by GraniteShares continue to weigh on overall sentiment and momentum for the token.
The recent pressure on XRP comes alongside approximately $529,500 in net ETF outflows between November 2 and 6, highlighting subdued institutional demand. GraniteShares has postponed its leveraged XRP ETF launch until the end of November, impacting short-term market dynamics.
